Welcome to my autobiography!

I'm Massimo Albarello. I came to the world in 1998 in the beautiful town of Como, and I've since lived in San Francisco, Zurich, and now London.

I love building things.

My dream is to build something that will stand the test of time — and positively impact as many people as possible along the way.

I'm fascinated by the idea that everything around us was once somebody's idea.

That's why I love reading biographies of people who changed the world: to understand what the world was like before they came to be, and how they went about creating a better version of it.

This is my autobiography. I'd love for it to one day be useful to someone, the way many other biographies have been useful to me.

I love building at the intersection of two ideas:

These two trends have shaped what I've done throughout my life: switching from electronics to computer science, specializing in consensus algorithms for distributed systems, building Omnia, and more recently Fabric.

Now that I have some time behind me, I'm starting to look back and try connecting the dots. Have a look at the chapters of my life so far.

P.S. Everything here is LLM generated but personally curated. I review and edit every page before publishing, so what you are reading is not slop.
